Sometimes my clients ask the difference between a WordPress website and a static website. The biggest difference is that WordPress is a dynamic Content Management System (CMS) that allows for non-technical people to manage and maintain their own websites as well as allowing the user to blog. Static websites typically require a web developer to code and provide site maintenance such as adding new content to keep the site relevant.

Both types of websites can serve a purpose. If your website is informational or serves more as a brochure then a static website will be low maintenance and more cost-effective in the long run since it doesn’t require many content updates.

However, if you are looking to blog, post a lot of content or provide ongoing or changing content to engage your visitors, then you may want to consider a WordPress site since you have access to post as much content as you want at your convenience.

Sublime Creations can build both types of websites and can help you discover what solution best serves your needs. Contact us today for a FREE website analysis or quote.
